This week, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement began issuing numerous I-9 Notices of Inspection to employers suspected of hiring unauthorized workers and engaging in other workplace violations. The agency is expected to issue 500 to 700 audit notices in this latest I-9 enforcement initiative.
