Editor's guide: Where to live in Luxembourg Here's a short introduction to our Where to Live section for Luxembourg.

One of the most important decisions you’ll make upon arriving at your new location is where to live. The cost of housing, proximity to work, schools and amenities should be considered as well as your preferred neighbourhood. Some people prefer to stay in neighbourhoods popular with other internationals, while others choose to live in areas popular with locals.

An Expatica poll reveals that when looking for expat accommodation, most people consider the neighbourhood (54 percent) and then price (24 percent). Results of another recent poll show that job satisfaction and the quality of expat housing are closely related.

Which city, town or neighbourhood to live in
Expatica’s ‘Where to Live’ channel has articles providing details of key areas in your new country or city of residence to help you start your search. ‘Where to live in Luxembourg’ gives general descriptions of popular expat locations and 'Property in Belgium: the pitfalls’ focuses on an alternative property market.

Ask your fellow expats
Other expats are a great source of information about what different areas are like. Why not try asking in the Expatica forums for people’s impressions of the place you’re interested in?
